Rikama Education are looking for a KS2 Primary Teacher to join a special needs school located in Chatham. The school will welcome applicants with QTS and experience teaching at Key Stage 2 level. This position is working Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 3:30 and will start in September 2026.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing interactive lessons of core subjects for the children.
  • Planning and delivering lessons.
  • Teaching children with special educational needs and diverse learning styles.
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS (Ideally on the update service).
  • Self-motivated, proactive and have a passion for supporting those with additional needs.
  • The role is demanding and challenging but very rewarding.
  • Experience with social emotional needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to learning.
  • QTS - Desirable but essential.
