Rikama Education Ltd. are working with a really fantastic and popular nursery, who are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and well-established all-year-round nursery in Eltham. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early years professional looking to make an immediate impact, with the position available on a temporary-to-permanent basis for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and operational excellence are maintained at all times.
Essential Requirements- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum)
- Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or senior leadership role within an early years setting
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate, develop, and support a staff team
- Experience working with Ofsted standards and compliance
- Lead and manage the nursery team on a daily basis
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Oversee and support high-quality teaching, learning, and child development
- Build positive and professional relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
- Manage staffing, recruitment, supervisions, appraisals, and staff development
- Ensure smooth day-to-day nursery operations and occupancy management
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and staff
