Canterbury Primary 1-1 Teaching Assistant. Rikama Education are working with a primary school on the outskirts of Canterbury, who are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start immediately. The school are looking for a TA to work 3 days a week initially, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and your role as a 1:1 will be to:
- Support a pupil in Year 4 who has ASD and ADHD
- Differentiate the work set by the class teacher
- Manage any challenging behaviours following the schools policy.
It is essential that you have:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs, whether that is in a classroom or similar setting
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A DBS registered to the update system or willing to have a new one run.
