Rikama Education Ltd are currently working with a SEN school located in the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells/East Sussex who are looking to recruit driven and professional Teaching Assistants. A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role. Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.

Ideally you will have experience of working as a SEN Teaching Assistant with students and supporting a range of additional needs. In particular we are looking for applicants that are experienced in working with ASD, Autism, Downs Syndrome, PMLD, SEMH or sensory needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities include:

  • To provide a safe, supportive and nurturing classroom environment
  • To liaise with the lead teacher in preparing the classroom
  • Support children with special educational needs and diverse learning styles
  • Track and monitor student progression
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures

The right candidate MUST have:

  • Experience of working with children or young adults
  • Knowledge of working with a range of additional needs such as ASD, PMLD and Downs Syndrome
  • A full RTW in the UK
