Two SEN Teachers required for a wonderful SEN school based in Ashford. This post is long term supply/temp to perm, 5 days a week.

Position 1: To work predominantly 1:1 with a student in year 8 who has very low academic ability. Working at an early years/foundation level, whilst appreciating that the student is year 8 and respectfully adapting things accordingly. Planning and executing lessons to meet the specific needs of the student and their capabilities. To be prepared to undertake interventions with other students across all year groups, when not required to work 1:1 with the student in question.

Position 2: To work with children in years 8 and 9 who have a degree of challenging behaviour. The majority would have come from a care background and have associated challenges as a result of past trauma, including attachment disorder. Planning and executing lessons to meet the specific needs of the student and their capabilities and finding innovative and exciting ways to make the lessons more appealing. To be prepared to take lessons out to the forest school, if needed and to find a method of educating each student in a way that appeals to each individual.
