We are seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our clients growing team. This field-based role involves Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), servicing, repairs, and occasional installations of commercial gas systems across a varied portfolio including hotels, government buildings, schools, court facilities, and office sites.

While your primary focus will be the North of England, national travel may occasionally be required to provide sickness or holiday cover. You will be part of a professional and supportive engineering team with an on-call rota of 1 in 9 (nationwide).

The Candidate:
  • Valid ACS Commercial Gas Certifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, BMP1)
  • At least 5 years experience working with commercial gas appliances and systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • BMS/controls knowledge is beneficial
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • High level of health & safety awareness
  • Professional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, efficient, and capable of managing workload across multiple sites
Duties Include:
  • Conducting PPM, servicing, and repairs on commercial gas appliances in line with SFG20 standards
  • Diagnosing faults and performing effective repairs on systems including boilers, burners, pumps, controls, AHUs, and pipework
  • Performing occasional installations to meet compliance and safety regulations
  • Responding to emergency repairs both during working hours and as part of the on-call rota (1 in 9)
  • Maintaining detailed and compliant service documentation for audit purposes
  • Ensuring safe working practices are followed, with appropriate PPE and site safety protocols
  • Collaborating with the wider team and escalating technical issues where required
  • Advising clients on safe appliance use and best practices
