Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations / Project Manager with a strong background in ductworking and cable duct systems to oversee the operational delivery of projects from planning through to completion. You will manage installation teams, work closely with clients and contractors, and coordinate site-based activity to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery. This role blends operations leadership with project management responsibilities and is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in ductwork/cable enclosure installations or fire-protection construction systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple installation projects nationwide
- Plan, coordinate and supervise cable duct/ductwork installation projects from mobilisation to handover
- Schedule and allocate resources (teams, materials, plant) to meet project timelines and targets
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain excellent relationships
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, quality expectations, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Produce project reports, risk assessments, method statements, and installation plans
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, site performance, and operational efficiency
- Act as the main point of contact for operations issues and escalations
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management and operations within a construction or fire protection environment
- Solid ductworking / cable duct background (installation experience is essential)
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise on a project basis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to make informed decisions on site
- Competent in project documentation, planning software, and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
