An established and growing building services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver mechanical packages across commercial and mixed-use projects. This is a hands-on role, responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial targets are met.
The successful Mechanical Project Manager will take ownership of mechanical building services projects, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining strong client relationships. You will play a key role in driving projects forward safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage mechanical building services projects from design coordination to completion
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal departments
- Review and manage programmes, progress reports, and RAMS
- Control project costs, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety and company procedures
- Attend site meetings and client progress meetings
- Support commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
- Experience managing commercial or mixed-use projects
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
- Confident communicator with clients and project stakeholders
- HNC / HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred)
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Management level)
- First Aid (desirable)
