Red Rock are working on behalf of a well‑established and reputable organisation based in Malvern, seeking a hands‑on Accounts Manager / Senior Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day running of the finance department (manage 1 Accounts Assistant)
- Handle accounts up to trial balance
- Take ownership of VAT returns, payroll (up to 80 staff), and related submissions
- Assist with year‑end accounts and liaise with external accountants
- Maintain financial schedules, bank reconciliations, and payment runs
- Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension requirements
- Provide guidance and support to the accounts assistant
Requirements
- Proven experience with VAT, payroll, and accounts to trial balance
- Experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant or Accounts Manager
- Experience using Xero and BrightPay is advantageous
- No formal qualification required; practical experience preferred
- Must hold a current DBS or be willing for one to be arranged (cost deducted from first pay)
