The Role
We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to engage with existing and new customers on drilling equipment, engineering, service and parts projects. This role is suited to a confident, outgoing individual who will proactively maintain and develop customer relationships. This is a UK, office based role and relevant experience is essential. Candidates must also be eligible to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage and acquire new customers
- Develop and maintain existing customer relationships
- Call and meet with customers on a day to day basis
- Communicate company product and service offering effectively
- Understand customer requirements and prepare proposals
- Engage with technical colleagues to meet customer requirements
- Manage and develop regional sales pipeline
- Close sales and meet sales targets
- Act as sales focal point for live projects
- Coordinate with wider business development team internationally
- Prepare and present reports and forecasts to management
- Support delivery of business strategy
- Acquire and develop strong product, service and market knowledge
- Comply with quality management processes
- Comply with health, safety and environmental policies
Requirements
Education & training: Degree qualification advantageous but not essential
Technical requirements: Drilling industry knowledge and awareness
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Strong drilling industry network
- Confident and outgoing personality
- Comfortable regularly calling and meeting customers
- Strong presentation and proposal skills
- Confident user of IT and web based applications
Experience:
- Previous experience in a business development role
- Minimum 5 years drilling industry experience
- Drilling equipment experience advantageous but not essential
