What you'll do

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Viasat's Internal Communications team! We focus on educating, engaging, and informing Viasat employees on a global scale. Internal communications connects our people to our business strategy, reinforces culture, and builds employee advocacy. You’ll work with leaders and stakeholders from all parts of the business to identify communications needs and develop and execute plans, based in our London office.

  • Develop and execute strategic internal communications campaigns that align with Viasat’s People, Brand and Culture priorities.
  • Support change management and transformation efforts.
  • Translate highly complex and technical data into communication that the whole company will understand.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify communication gaps and opportunities.
  • Ensure company‑wide initiatives are successfully communicated to employees in a timely and relevant manner, especially during times of change.
  • Assess executive communication strategies and propose and manage opportunities for improvement.
  • Build successful relationships across the organization to effect change.
  • Align activities with the external communications team.
  • Contribute to SharePoint intranet and other internal comms channels.

What you'll need

  • 6+ years of internal communications and change management experience, including demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Psychology or equivalent experience.
  • Strategic, creative thinker comfortable with generating ideas and plans, and getting those plans across the finish line.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to communicate information to multiple audiences.
  • Substantial project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and change direction quickly according to fast‑evolving business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint, MS Office Suite, Canva.
  • Ability to share writing samples and examples of previous internal communications campaigns.
