Location: Senior Solution Architect
Reporting to: Head of Architecture
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define and drive the technology strategy for Rightmove’s internal processes, including sales automation, order fulfilment, pricing, billing, and customer support.
The candidate should be experienced in decomposing enterprise processes, designing integrated solutions with existing systems, and working on distributed platforms with bespoke and industry-standard applications. A hands-on approach, collaboration with product teams, and engagement with technology providers are essential.
The Architect team collaborates with Product & Platform Reliability and Engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient application delivery platforms, supporting continuous deployment of new features. Key projects include:
- Evolution of the customer self-service platform
- Modernization of legacy systems with SaaS solutions
- Migration to GCP cloud infrastructure
Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to technology strategy and milestones
- Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand needs and design solutions
- Evaluating build vs buy options and potential suppliers
- Engaging with technology partners for product integration and cost optimization
- Guiding teams on technical decisions and architectural consistency
- Mentoring engineering teams and promoting best practices
- Researching and prototyping emergent technologies
