We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the Lead to Keys domain - a chance to lead end-to-end design for a growing product area, balancing strategic proposition work with small-scale experiments that optimise engagement and conversion.
The Role: As a Senior Product Designer in Lead to Keys, you’ll shape how home movers discover, compare, and purchase services like broadband and insurance. This is a chance to lead design for a growing product domain, balancing big-picture proposition work with small-scale experiments that optimise engagement and conversion.
You’ll work day to day with your Product Manager and squad of engineers, supported by your manager, the Lead Product Designer for Lead to Keys. Your immediate team of designers thrives on collaboration, constructive critique, and shared learning, helping each other solve problems and grow. You’ll also connect with 25+ designers, researchers, and content designers across Rightmove to share knowledge and maintain design standards.
This is a hybrid role: 2 days per week in the Soho, London office and 3 days from home.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and lead design across discovery, research, delivery, and iteration - shaping the proposition while improving existing journeys.
- Develop bold, visually compelling concepts that delight users and drive engagement, while understanding why they work.
- Plan, conduct, and apply user research to frame problems, validate ideas, and inform design decisions.
- Run experiments and small iterations to optimise funnel performance, conversion, and overall user outcomes.
- Produce user journeys, flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate ideas and test solutions.
- Design responsive interactions and patterns across home-moving services, balancing trust, clarity, and commercial impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Content, Marketing, Legal, and external partners to deliver coherent, compliant experiences.
- Work closely with other designers to maintain quality, consistency, and shared standards, while contributing to a culture of constructive critique and shared learning.
- Ensure accessibility and champion inclusive design principles.
- Document design thinking and decisions to support delivery and cross-team alignment.
What You’ll Bring To The Role:
- Strong experience owning design for complex responsive web products, from concept to delivery and iteration.
- Ability to think critically and design solutions that solve the core user problem, understanding why your designs work and using research or evidence to guide decisions when needed.
- Comfort shaping direction in ambiguous, greenfield spaces, with experience influencing longer term product or design outcomes.
- Bring a sharp eye for craft and detail, creating polished, visually compelling UI and prototypes that align seamlessly with our design system standards.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of funnel-based journeys.
- Ability to design complex, multi-step journeys that balance usability, trust, and commercial impact.
- Self‑directed and organised - able to plan, prioritise, and manage your own work to deliver outcomes within team objectives.
- Collaborative mindset and clear communication, contributing to shared learning and design quality.
- B2C product experience is highly valued, with brand and marketing exposure considered a strong advantage.
