Finance Assistant – Group Reporting
Location: Milton Keynes office / Hybrid. Office days are Tuesday and Wednesday with the rest of the week working from home.
Department: Finance. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Group Reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Closing the books at month‑end, including posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Helping to produce and analyse the monthly Management Flash Accounts.
- Coordinating the information from across finance and the business for the monthly Board Report and Management Report.
- Preparing bank reconciliations and reconciling and analysing balance sheet accounts.
- Processing transactions in NetSuite.
- Dealing with auditor queries and maintaining audit files.
- Preparing financial information for business unit queries.
- Assisting in the regulatory reporting to the FCA for two small subsidiaries.
- Managing treasury and banking administration.
- Reporting on processes and controls.
- Looking for ways to continuously improve processes.
Who you are:
- Team player with an open, honest and can‑do attitude, willing to ‘muck in’ to ensure team success.
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
- Can prioritise and deliver results to strict deadlines through a proactive approach.
- Curious, with excellent problem‑solving and investigation skills, confident in asking questions and utilising colleagues’ experience.

- Experience in a finance team, with an understanding of month‑end processes and reporting.
- Specific experience in posting journals, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciling.
- Knowledge or experience of working with the finance system NetSuite.
