As a member of the Experience Design team, you'll collaborate closely with user research and partner with product design to support Rightmove's home hunters and homeowners. You'll join a small, centralised content design team, which partners with product teams within the consumer domain. You'll contribute from discovery to delivery on prioritised projects, scaling resources and running drop-in clinics to support lighter-touch work. Reporting to the Content Design Manager, you'll be based in our Soho, London office 2 days a week.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with cross-functional product teams to create clear, scalable content, which minimises friction and future inbound.
  • Using evidence and feedback to shape UX decisions and challenge assumptions in a constructive way.
  • Partnering with user research and product design to map user journeys and understand how people interact across touchpoints.
  • Structuring content and defining how information connects so designs are easier for people to understand and navigate.
  • Supporting the integration of content within our design system.
  • Applying our tone of voice and brand platform to create consistent, coherent experiences.
  • Developing a strong understanding of our industry, our audiences, and the wider market.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for user experience and making the process of renting, buying, selling, and moving easier.
  • Thinks analytically about user journeys and how content shapes behaviour.
  • Enjoys being a proactive, hands-on contributor and collaborative team player.
  • Brings a content design lens to any stage of the process: from user research, information architecture, user interface design, and embedding content strategically.
  • Manages their time comfortably to deliver on multiple defined problem spaces in a fast-moving, agile environment.
  • Balances the needs of multiple stakeholders to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines.
  • Communicates their decisions clearly and can talk through their logic.
  • Understands user behaviour and business success through qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Experiments with language using user research tools to test and learn.
  • Proactively hunts out opportunities to impact a defined problem area.
  • Finds new and innovative ways to use generative AI to think, plan, and design faster and better.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience designing content within product development teams and leveraging audience-specific terminology with just enough brand personality across a user journey or task.
  • Workshopping skills which help teams align and make progress.
  • A commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
  • Experience in marketplace products, content governance tools like Ditto, and agentic AI is an advantage.
