Role Description
The Finance Manager is a full-time (Or interim), on-site role based in Oldbury, responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of the business.
This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for leadership and stakeholders.
The Finance Manager will monitor cash flow, analyse financial data and KPIs, and provide insights to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising finance operations such as accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, and compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls.
The role also collaborates closely with other departments to support commercial initiatives, optimise costs, and drive sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills, with experience in management accounts and financial planning.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting, including the ability to interpret data and present insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance within the UK, including VAT and all HMRC requirements.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills, with the ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and finance software.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decisions across the business.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Previous experience in a finance leadership or supervisory role, ideally within service, subscription, or property maintenance sectors.
- Relevant professional qualification (e. g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience in finance or accounting.
