We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Chartered Accountant to join our finance team and help maintain our financial records with accuracy and integrity.

Role Overview

As an accountant at Rightangled, you will play a key role in managing the company\’s financial transactions, preparing monthly financial management reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and is eager to contribute to the financial health of a growing healthcare organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial management reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Prepare budgets and forecasting to support financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures & quarterly VAT returns
  • Monitor and record employee expenses and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist in the payroll process by preparing payroll data and ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursements
  • Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation as required

Requirements

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software and Google Drive Suite (especially Excel). Familiarity with financial reporting tools is a plus
