We are currently seeking to recruit an Employment Advisor to join our Work and Learn team to motivate candidates who require different strategies to help them into a job with support and empathy.
Duties will include:
- Supporting referrals from the Job Centre in Kendal, through the Restart programme to progress the candidates' employability skills and look at securing paid outcomes.
- Working with Job Centre Plus to identify adults with barriers to work and support individuals in securing suitable work placements or the next steps in their employment journey.
- Update, monitor and maintain accurate learner records / support notes.
- Creating and leading learner reviews, complete progression reports and assessments.
- Liaising with additional support networks such as careers advisors, adult social workers, parents/guardians and families where appropriate.
- Managing a small team.
- Car driver/owner (preferred).
- Knowledge of Supported Employment Programmes (preferred).
- Advice and Guidance L3 or willing to work towards this qualification (or relevant experience).
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for the successful candidate. This will be funded by Right2Work, subject to terms and conditions.
