Job Advert
The Hub Café in Appleby has become a very popular spot to visit for locals and visitors to the area. It has a friendly, local vibe and serves fresh, homemade food. The dishes are well-cooked and creatively presented. The cafe seeks out the best ingredients. They strive to use local, seasonal foods when possible.
The Appleby Hub\’s Cafe is getting busier, so we need more team members. We are looking to recruit a new Front of House Team member to work 5 hours per week on a Saturday.
We need:
A friendly, efficient person with great interpersonal skills and/or experience front-of-house work is ideal.
You will work with the public and other staff. You\’ll also work with adults who have learning disabilities. Good communication is key. We expect great customer service always.
What will your role include?
- Meet and greet customers and offer cafe menus
- Answer questions about menu offerings
- Processing food and drink orders
- Making sure orders are correct, the food comes out in good time, and customers have everything they need.
- Setting and clearing tables
- Preparing bills and processing payments
Previous front of house experience is desired but not essential.
