We are currently seeking to recruit an Employment Advisor to join our Employment team to motivate candidates who require different strategies to help them into a job with support and empathy.

We are seeking a motivate Employment advisor who can provide both support and empathy for people who require different strategies to help them into a job.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting referrals from the Job Centre in Kendal, through the Restart programme to progress the candidates employability skills and look at securing paid outcomes.
  • Working with Job Centre Plus to identify adults with barriers to work and support individuals in securing suitable work placements or the next steps in their employment journey.
  • Update, monitor and maintain accurate learner records/support notes.
  • Creating and leading reviews, complete progression reports and assessments.
  • Liaising with additional support networks such as careers advisors, adult social workers, parents/guardians and families where appropriate.
  • Managing a small team.
  • Car driver/owner (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Supported Employment Programmes (preferred).
  • Advice and Guidance L3 or willing to work towards this qualification (or relevant experience).

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for the successful candidate. This will be funded by Right2Work, subject to terms and conditions.
