This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading charities, committed to transforming lives and strengthening communities. The organisation works with those affected by homelessness, poverty, substance use and family breakdown, providing safe and stable environments that enable individuals to rebuild their lives and ensure they do not face these challenges alone. With strong, long-standing community relationships across Scotland, Right There remains focused on helping people secure a place they can call home, alongside offering mentoring and counselling to support mental wellbeing and long-term resilience.

The Head of Property will provide strategic leadership across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring effective operations and service delivery. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leadership and Team
    • Lead the Property team, including maintenance, procurement, fleet, furniture and administration
    • Champion organisational values, support staff development and foster a culture focused on safety and continuous improvement
    • Maximise the impact of Furnish Forward and collaborate to enhance services
  • Strategy and Delivery
    • Develop and implement the Property Investment and Service Plan
    • Deliver efficient, high-quality, customer-focused maintenance services
    • Oversee maintenance programmes, property records and furniture logistics
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and standards
    • Oversee policies, procedures and landlord compliance
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector and regulatory requirements
