Required! ASAP Start on site 6 – 8 months project Manchester based work. My client is a leading electrical contractor who is looking for an electrical project manager who can operate at a higher level – combining technical understanding, commercial awareness and programme control to consistently deliver projects that outperform expectations.

You will be responsible for managing electrical packages from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with main contractors, consultants and our in-house delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical packages on office fit-out projects from pre-construction to completion
  • Review and interpret Stage 3 design information and develop it into buildable solutions
  • Identify design gaps, coordination issues and compliance risks early
  • Produce and manage technical submissions (lighting, distribution, containment, controls, etc.)
  • Maintain programme control, identifying risks and opportunities for resequencing
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery
  • Manage procurement and subcontractors
  • Lead client and contractor meetings with confidence and clarity
  • Oversee commissioning, testing and handover documentation
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness, supporting variations and cost control
You will:
  • Have experience delivering electrical packages on commercial / office fit-outs
  • Be confident reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Understand key standards such as BS7671, BS5839 and Part L
  • Be organised, proactive and detail-driven
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders
  • Take ownership and pride in delivering high-quality work
Career Progression

This role offers a clear pathway to Contracts Manager, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility across multiple projects, mentor junior team members and play a key role in shaping the future growth and structure of the business.

Details:
  • Hours: 7:00am - 5.00pm (M-T), 7:00am - 3.00pm (F)
  • Pay: £300 to £350 per day, paid via CIS every week
  • Duration: Ongoing (6 months+)
