We are currently recruiting for the Operations Manager role for a logistics company based in Rugby, CV23. The Operations Manager will support the General Manager by taking full responsibility of the operational elements of the site and all the functions/processes that fall under this.
Main duties for the Operations Manager role:
- Ensuring the appropriate level of resource is assigned to each function to cover all shifts across the working week.
- Responsible and accountable for the performance of the Inbound, Outbound, Manual and International processes.
- Responsible for overall shift performance, compliance, client service levels, health and safety, employee engagement.
- Planning for every department of shift; resource, KPI targets and management cover.
- Accountable for sending detailed shift reports, root causing failed KPIs supported evidence and an action plan to improve.
- Must have strong analytical skills, be data driven and use data to influence, challenge and drive performance and compliance.
- Accountable for shift costs and able to demonstrate strong cost leadership.
- Carrying out regular individual 121s, performance reviews and team meetings with team.
- Responsible for all H&S and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work in your areas.
- Using Operational insight to support the ongoing development of SOPs, SLAs, KPIs and objectives and manage own team against these through best practice and day to day appraisal.
- Develop a peak plan for your area of responsibility in line with forecasted volumes and or changes in automation to meet financial and resourcing needs.
- Promoting and driving consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards.
- Lead by example in creating a high-performance people orientated culture within the function that thinks inside the box.
