We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work on a range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects while supporting cost management and contractual operations from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
- Managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
- Conducting valuations and variations
- Negotiating contracts and procurement of subcontractors/suppliers
- Preparing interim valuations and final accounts
- Monitoring project expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Ensuring projects remain within budget and contractual compliance
- Liaising with clients, site teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Producing regular commercial reports for senior management
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial software packages
