We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant role for a company based in B18. The Management Accountant is responsible for leading all financial planning, reporting, and control activities within our business. This role ensures the business remains financially robust, and compliant. The role oversees financial analysis, procurement support, and compliance with UK accounting, tax, and audit requirements. Main responsibilities for the Management Accountant role: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS & REPORTING * Ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. * Oversee reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals. * Deliver commercial insights on margins, product performance, and cost structures. FINANCIAL CONTROLS & COMPLIANCE * Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and audit readiness. * Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, VAT rules, payroll legislation, and statutory filing obligations. * Coordinate annual external audits and prepare statutory accounts. LEADERSHIP * Engage as an effective member of the Management team. * Manage, support and coach key operational staff. * Recruit, induct, train, and retain staff of the required number and caliber. * Ensure all training requirements are identified, met, and regularly reviewed. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS for the Management Accountant role: * Proven senior finance leadership experience. * Background in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or a related product-led environment; PPE or safety equipment sector experience advantageous. * Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and UK regulatory requirements
