Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue weekly sales invoices for trade and retail customers.
- Raise and manage credit notes, ensuring strong controls are maintained.
- Reconcile customer receipts daily to bank statements and agree remittances.
- Respond to customer account queries via phone and email.
- Chase overdue balances and process card payments from customers.
- Produce and distribute monthly customer statements.
- Set up new trade accounts, including performing credit checks.
- Produce and monitor aged debtor reports and overdue balances.
- Place customer accounts on hold where required.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Support payroll processing and cover purchase ledger as needed.
- Contribute to wider finance tasks, including preparing subsidiary accounts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in finance or accounting (ideally in a similar role).
- Proficient in Excel with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude with the willingness to learn.
- Team player with the ambition to develop further within the finance function.
