We are an independent film production company based in London (close to Waterloo), with the primary background in short films, and behind the scenes & marketing content for feature films. The focus of this role is editing behind the scenes promotional videos for feature films. We film EPK style content on feature films, which needs to be edited down to smaller pieces for social media - varied between 16:9 YouTube featurettes (5-10 mins) and vertical Reels/Shorts/Tiktok pieces (30-90 sec).
At times there will be a detailed script to follow, other times you will need to be creative with editing a video based on a specific topic. We value your own creativity and intuition a lot, as we would like for you to have autonomy in the edits.
The role will be project based, and is thus part-time. You will be needed for a few weeks at a time following shoot completion, subject to your availability. As projects ramp up, we would hope to transition you to full time down the road, but at the moment there isn’t a sufficient volume of work for this.
The ideal working setup will involve some work on site to align on objectives, approaches, etc., then for you to work independently remotely or on-site (subject to your preference), and present videos to review.
Technical
We have a workstation available for you to work at, open to occasional work from home, or if required by the project. We do all of our editing, grading, etc. in Davinci Resolve. As long as you are experienced in other software, we are able to help get you familiarised with Resolve. File formats include 8K Braw (URSA-12K), 4K Sony Log (FX3), 4K D-log (DJI Osmo). You are expected to know basic colour grading.
