Are you an experienced Production or Operations Manager looking to join a traditional and unique business where your skills and leadership will make a real difference? Our client is a longstanding specialist in PU moulding, producing high-quality, custom components with all tooling and patterns made in-house, often bespoke for high end suppliers.
The successful candidate will lead a small, highly skilled team, overseeing intensive production processes, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the business continues to run efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a practical, close-knit environment and enjoys mentoring a dedicated team.
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Wymondham
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a small production team, fostering a positive, traditional work culture
- Oversee multi-step manufacturing processes for custom components
- Coordinate closely with the in-house tooling team to ensure smooth production flows
- Monitor efficiency, staff utilisation, and production plans, reporting to the owners
- Implement process improvements and changes in a controlled, safe manner
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and best practices
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in manufacturing management, ideally within niche or complex processes
- Strong leadership and team-management skills, able to motivate and support a long-standing workforce
