Right Now Group are recruiting for a Trainee Import Clerk for a specialist freight‑forwarder in Colnbrook, serving critical aerospace and defence supply chains.
This permanent, full‑time role is ideal for those with admin, coordination, or customer‑service experience; trainees are welcome.
Manage phone and email communications with customers and carriers
Arrange airline collections and deliveries; plan import routings
Coordinate overseas collections and prepare import-rated airwaybills
Perform tariff classification and import‑licence checks
Create simple quotations and process occasional invoicing
Execute customs entries using systems such as ASM, Gems, or Sequoia
Verify correct use of CPCs (Customs Procedure Codes) and other authorisations
Experience & Skills Required – Trainee Import Clerk
Background in administration, coordination, or customer service (any industry)
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Solid judgment and problem-solving capabilities
Competence in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customs entry or classification experience is advantageous – but not essential for trainees
Salary & Working Details – Trainee Import Clerk
Shift: Monday to Friday
Extra: Paid overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
