Right Now Group are currently recruiting an experienced Van Driver to work on a temp-to-perm basis for our client based in Ashford. This is a great opportunity for a reliable driver looking for long-term, stable work with excellent earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver goods to customers across assigned routes
- Load and unload the vehicle in line with manual handling guidelines
- Provide a high standard of customer service at all delivery points
- Adhere to delivery schedules and routing instructions
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
- Update customers on estimated arrival times by phone
- Obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Carry out London and long-distance driving as required
Shift & Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 05:00 and 09:00
- 8-hour working day
Pay & Benefits
- £12.80 per hour for the first 12 weeks
- Increasing to £13.80 per hour after 12 weeks
- Overtime available at double pay
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
Requirements
- Full UK clean driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year)
- Previous van driving experience preferred
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
- Must be over 26 years old (insurance purposes)
- No more than 6 penalty points
