Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Cold Chain Warehouse Operator / Administrator to join a well-established specialist logistics company based in the Heathrow area. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented individual to oversee daily warehouse and cold chain operations, ensuring all temperature-sensitive and time‑critical shipments are handled compliantly and efficiently.
Location: Heathrow
Hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: £28,000-£33,000
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day operations within a specialist cold chain warehouse environment
- Booking freight in and out electronically while adhering to Regulated Agent procedures and established SOPs
- Preparing temperature-controlled shipping systems for international transport
- Carrying out performance checks and maintenance coordination for motorised shipping units
- Overseeing warehouse stock control and ordering specialist equipment when required
- Managing 3PL pick and pack operations for medical and pharmaceutical equipment
- Monitoring cloud-based temperature tracking systems and responding to alert notifications
- Liaising with suppliers, agents, and operations teams regarding shipment schedules, collection times, and special handling requirements
- Ensuring all international shipping labels and documentation comply with import/export regulations
- Banding and shrink-wrapping large airfreight shipping systems
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records in line with industry licensing requirements
- Supporting client projects at external locations when required
- Coordinating supplier visits and maintenance schedules
- Taking ownership of equipment calibration schedules and ensuring all equipment remains fit for purpose
- Ensuring temperature-sensitive cargo is stored correctly within warehouse and airline facilities
- Supporting compliance with MHRA and Home Office regulations relating to medical product storage and handling
Key Skills
- Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment focused on cold chain operations
- Strong organisational and stock control skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with suppliers, agents, and internal teams
- Experience working with cloud-based monitoring systems and responding to operational alerts
- Proactive approach to equipment maintenance and operational efficiency
- Forklift or warehouse certifications would be advantageous
