Right Now Group is recruiting for a Cargo Warehouse Operative to join a large and well-established cargo ground handling company based at Heathrow Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious ground handler within a fast‑paced and dynamic warehouse environment, working closely with major airline partners to ensure cargo is handled safely, securely, and efficiently for global distribution.

Location: Heathrow

Hours: You will be required to work a shift pattern consisting of days and nights. This will be a mixture of days and nights in the following format: 4 ON 4 OFF – 2 Days 06:30 - 18:30 / 2 Nights 18:30 - 06:30

Salary: £31,500 - £32,000

Responsibilities of a Cargo Warehouse Operative:

  • Load and unload cargo from vehicles using forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, alongside manual handling duties
  • Build and break down ULDs (e.g. PAGs, PMCs, AKEs) in line with airline and safety standards
  • Use hand‑held scanning devices to locate, track, and identify shipments accurately
  • Check inbound cargo for discrepancies, damage, or irregularities and report any issues
  • Complete and process all relevant documentation in line with company and airline procedures
  • Support the safe and efficient movement of cargo within the warehouse and airside environment

Skills Required - Cargo Warehouse Operative:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Previous warehouse or cargo handling experience (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding role
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Must be able to pass pre‑employment checks, including: 5‑year checkable employment/education history, DBS (criminal record check)
