Right Now Group are recruiting on behalf of a leading global freight forwarding business based at London Heathrow, who are looking to appoint an experienced Air Freight Export Operator to join their busy overnight export operation.
Working within a fast‑paced environment, you'll be responsible for managing international air export shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring all documentation, customs requirements and airline bookings are completed accurately whilst delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities- Manage the complete air export process from booking through to departure.
- Complete export customs entries accurately and independently.
- Prepare and process all export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, customs paperwork and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate airline bookings and liaise with handling agents, hauliers and overseas offices.
- Monitor time‑critical shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues.
- Provide customers with regular shipment updates and maintain excellent service levels.
- Ensure all shipments comply with HMRC, airline and international export regulations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and complete all files within agreed timescales.
- Previous experience within Air Export Freight Forwarding is essential.
- Strong knowledge of export customs entries and air freight documentation.
- Experience working within a busy, time‑sensitive freight forwarding environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple shipments.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- IT literate with experience using freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience handling pharmaceutical, temperature‑controlled or perishable cargo would be advantageous but is not essential.
- £40,000 - £44,000 (depending on experience)
