Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller / Warehouse to join our client's busy operation based in Hayes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced warehouse environment where you will be responsible for the accurate handling, storage and control of aircraft spares and high-value goods. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring goods are picked and packed correctly, and making sure customer requirements and operational deadlines are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who is organised, reliable and takes pride in working accurately, particularly when handling high-value or sensitive products.

Key Responsibilities of a Inventory Controller / Warehouse

  • Accurately pick, pack and prepare aircraft spares and high-value goods for dispatch within required deadlines.
  • Receive, check and inspect incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring quantities, condition and documentation are correct.
  • Safely handle, store and move stock in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.
  • Complete stock movements and ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Carry out regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies identified.
  • Update the Warehouse Management System accurately and within required timescales.
  • Ensure all stock is correctly scanned and supported by the relevant paperwork and documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of care and security when handling valuable, sensitive or specialist goods.
  • Assist with the movement of stock between storage, picking, packing and dispatch areas.
  • Follow customer-specific procedures, requirements and KPIs at all times.
  • Ensure customer requests are actioned accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, paperwork, scanning information and inventory documentation.
  • Identify and report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods or documentation issues promptly.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out in line with company policies and compliance procedures.
  • Follow all Health & Safety requirements and report any hazards or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Follow the correct procedures for the safe handling and storage of Dangerous Goods (DG).
  • Work closely with warehouse colleagues, supervisors, team leaders and customer representatives.
  • Provide support to the wider operations team when required to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse.

Skills & Experience Required for a Inventory Controller / Warehouse

  • Previous experience within warehouse operations, stock control or a similar logistics environment.
  • Experience handling aircraft parts, high-value goods or sensitive products would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Good organisational skills with a structured and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative when dealing with operational issues.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of security and accuracy when handling high-value goods.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System would be advantageous.
  • Forklift / MHE experience or certification would be beneficial.
  • Previous Dangerous Goods (DG) training would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
  • Willingness to learn company-specific systems, procedures and customer requirements.

Salary for a Inventory Controller / Warehouse

  • Salary Up to: Β£33,000
  • Shift: 4 on 4 off.
  • Hours: 07:00-16:00 / 10:00-19:00
  • Opportunity to work within a specialist warehouse environment handling aircraft spares and high-value goods.

Please note: Full training will be provided on company-specific systems and procedures where required. Previous Dangerous Goods or Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential.
