Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our client's growing operation based in Hayes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing and developing a new warehouse team from the ground up. You will be responsible for leading a team within a busy and fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring the accurate handling, storage and movement of high-value goods.
The successful candidate will be a confident and hands-on leader who can motivate and develop a team while maintaining high standards of safety, security, stock accuracy, customer service and operational performance.
This is a Monday to Friday, standard-hours position, however flexibility is essential. As the operation supports teams working across different shifts, there may be occasions when you will be required to provide additional support during evenings, nights or weekends, particularly during periods of team development or operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Team Leader
- Lead, motivate and support a team of warehouse operatives to ensure daily operational targets and customer requirements are achieved.
- Help establish and develop a new warehouse team from the beginning, creating a positive, professional and high-performing working environment.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of new team members.
- Allocate daily workloads and ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines.
- Provide hands‑on support within the warehouse when required, including picking, packing, receiving, stock movements and dispatch.
- Ensure aircraft spares and high‑value goods are handled, stored and moved safely and securely in accordance with company and customer procedures.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are accurately checked, inspected and processed.
- Monitor stock accuracy and ensure all inventory transactions and stock movements are correctly recorded.
- Carry out and oversee regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Ensure the Warehouse Management System is updated accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure all stock is correctly scanned and supported by the relevant paperwork and documentation.
- Monitor team performance against operational targets, KPIs and customer requirements.
- Ensure customer requests are actioned accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and security across the warehouse.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, documentation issues or operational concerns promptly.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
- Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture within the team.
- Ensure the correct procedures are followed for the safe handling and storage of Dangerous Goods (DG).
- Carry out regular team briefings and communicate operational updates, priorities and customer requirements effectively.
- Support the management team with identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, performance and general conduct within the team.
- Provide coaching, guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
- Work closely with supervisors, managers, warehouse colleagues and customer representatives.
- Support other warehouse shifts when required to ensure continuity across the operation.
- Be flexible to provide occasional evening, night or weekend support when operationally required.
- Lead by example and maintain consistently high standards of professionalism, accuracy and customer service.
Skills & Experience Required for a Warehouse Team Leader
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor, Senior Warehouse Operative, Stock Control or similar logistics role.
- Proven experience of leading, supervising or coordinating a warehouse team.
- Experience working within a busy, fast‑paced and deadline‑driven warehouse environment.
- Experience handling high‑value goods or sensitive products would be highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- A hands‑on approach with the ability to work alongside the team when required.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and make effective decisions in a busy operational environment.
- Confident dealing with operational issues and using initiative to find practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management and customers.
- Previous experience helping to establish or develop a new team or operation would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control and inventory management.
- Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System SAP would be advantageous.
- Good standard of Maths and English.
- Forklift / MHE experience or certification would be beneficial.
- Previous Dangerous Goods (DG) training would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and warehouse compliance requirements.
- Reliable, professional and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Willingness to learn company‑specific systems, procedures and customer requirements.
Salary & Working Hours
- Salary Up to: £35,000
- Shift: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard working hours
- Flexibility: Essential - occasional support may be required across different shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
