An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an established manufacturing business in

Henfield , supporting the purchasing and production functions to ensure materials, components and supplies are available when needed.

Working closely with Production, Planning and suppliers, you will be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders, monitoring stock and deliveries, resolving supplier queries and ensuring production has the materials required to meet customer deadlines.

Purchasing Coordinator Key Responsibilities

  • Raising and managing purchase orders for materials, components and production requirements.
  • Sourcing materials and obtaining quotations from approved and new suppliers.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.
  • Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability and delivery times.
  • Tracking outstanding orders and proactively resolving delays or shortages.
  • Working closely with Production and Planning teams to understand upcoming material requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and stock records.
  • Reviewing supplier performance, pricing and delivery to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting the resolution of quality, delivery and purchasing issues.
  • Ensuring purchase orders and associated documentation are accurate and processed on time.
  • Supporting stock takes and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes, costs and supplier relationships.

Purchasing Coordinator - Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience within

Buying, Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain .

  • Experience working within a manufacturing, production, engineering, construction or joinery environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
  • Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using an ERP, MRP or purchasing system would be advantageous.
