Our client is seeking a dedicated ESG Sustainability Coordinator to drive their dual commitment to environmental stewardship and social impact. You will be responsible for managing our clients environmental management systems (ISO 14001/50001) while ensuring their procurement and business activities deliver measurable social value to their stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and promote the company's environmental policy and sustainability strategy.
- Support the maintenance of ISO 14001 and lead the implementation of the ISO 50001 energy management System.
- Maintain a comprehensive reporting framework for initiatives including global requirements like EcoVadis.
- Track consumption of water, gas, electricity, and waste, and implement stricter travel policies to reduce impact.
- Lead the company's net-zero carbon plan using advanced carbon-management tools.
- Manage social value commitments made by bidders and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Align procurement activities with the company's Social Value Strategy to record and measure tangible outcomes.
- Maintain an executive dashboard to track progress against company commitments.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Proven experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001; internal auditing certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EcoVadis, carbon management tools, and social value frameworks (e.g., Social Value TOM Systemâ„¢).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex datasets and produce executive-level reports.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills to engage with suppliers and senior leadership.
