Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced e Commerce Air Export Supervisor on behalf of a growing international e Commerce & Courier Freight Forwarder based near
Heathrow .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Export professional with a strong background in e Commerce or Courier Freight to join a busy export operation in a hands-on supervisory role.
Working within a close-knit team, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the export department whilst remaining actively involved in the operational process from booking through to departure.
You'll play a key role in managing airline relationships, securing freight capacity, supporting the export team, and ensuring time-critical shipments continue to move efficiently across global trade lanes including the USA, Singapore, and other international destinations.
Key Responsibilities of an e Commerce Air Export Supervisor
- Supervise the day-to-day running of the Air Export department whilst remaining hands-on with export operations.
- Manage international air export shipments from booking through to final departure, ensuring all customs and airline requirements are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, securing freight capacity, airline allocations and coordinating PB bookings.
- Support and develop the Air Export team, ensuring high standards of operational performance and customer service.
- Complete and audit export documentation, customs entries, MAWBs, HAWBs and pre-alerts for overseas agents.
- Work closely with warehouse, transport, customer service and overseas partners to ensure shipments depart on time and in full compliance.
Skills & Experience Required for an e Commerce Air Export Supervisor
- Previous experience within e Commerce or Courier Freight is essential .
- Strong background in Air Export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
- Experience managing export shipments from start to finish, including customs entries using CDS.
- Excellent knowledge of airline bookings, freight allocations, MAWBs, HAWBs and export compliance.
- Previous supervisory, senior operator or team leader experience is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
