Overview
Right Now Group are working with a leading freight forwarder to recruit a Driver Trainer. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of driving and operational compliance across the business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and training both agency and company drivers, promoting safety and best practices, and delivering an exceptional service experience.
Salary: £50,000
Location: London Heathrow
Shift: Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00 (flexibility required)
Responsibilities
- Assess agency and company drivers, ensuring adherence to operational and safety standards.
- Deliver driver induction programs and training, including post-accident/incident training.
- Promote and enforce standards such as daily vehicle checks, safe loading and securing of loads, and maintenance defect reporting.
- Provide training on tachograph rules, working time directive compliance, and coupling/uncoupling procedures.
- Ensure drivers meet standards for ADR competence, Dangerous Goods awareness, and CAA safety and security regulations.
- Deliver training on company procedures for the collection and delivery of goods, projecting a professional image to customers at all times.
- Identify and report any safety, security, or environmental concerns promptly.
Essential qualifications
- Significant C+E driving experience and a valid license.
- Excellent knowledge of tachograph rules, working time directives, and defect reporting procedures.
- Holds a Driver CPC and Driver Card.
- Experience within the Freight & Logistics industry
