Overview
As a Goods In Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all supplier deliveries meet purchase order requirements and company standards. This includes verifying documentation, creating invoices, booking stock into our ERP system, conducting inspections, and liaising with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across all goods received.
Responsibilities
- Open deliveries and verify certifications and documentation against purchase orders
- Coordinate with drivers to process deliveries upon arrival
- Accept and process a wide range of goods event-related components
- Accurately record dimensions and weights for stock control and invoicing
- Create and process invoices for goods received
- Carry out physical inspections to ensure goods meet design, quality, and contractual specifications
- Process returns efficiently and in line with company procedures
- Liaise with the Events and Logistics teams regarding anomalies, incorrect goods, or urgent requirements
- Operate a forklift (where required) to move, load, and unload goods
- Carry out local deliveries when needed (driving license required)
- Support general warehouse duties and assist colleagues as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year's experience in a goods-in or warehouse role
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
- Good understanding of customs processes and goods-in procedures
- Experience checking for damages and handling returns
- Forklift experience (license preferred but not essential)
- Full driving license for local drops
- Confident handling high-value items such as electronics and event equipment
- PC literate, comfortable using stock control and ERP systems
- Strong communication and organisational skills
