Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarder in the Bristol area. Our client is looking for a Freight Administrator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing the movement of pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments.

Position: Freight Administrator

Location: Bristol

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience) + additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities for a Freight Administrator:

  • Oversee and track inbound air and sea freight shipments arriving into the UK.
  • Prepare and validate accurate cost and revenue estimates for all assigned jobs.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and delivery arrangements by requesting and processing the relevant instructions.
  • Liaise with overseas agents and consignees to manage import movements, escalating discrepancies or special handling requirements where necessary.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health & safety standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers to ensure service expectations, booking instructions, and quotations are met.
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport, and gateway teams to arrange storage and final delivery.
  • Maintain compliance within standards for pharmaceutical products.

Key Skills for a Freight Administrator:

  • Ideally previous industry experience or a strong knowledge of the freight industry.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to work across multiple systems accurately.
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while managing responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have to go through a full 5 year reference check and DBS check.
