Right Now Group are currently partnered with an International Engineering client and industry leader who are recruiting within their re-manufacturing team across the UK after a continued period of sustained growth. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Refrigeration Technician to support the full refurbishment process of returned coolers. From initial inspection to final quality checks, you will ensure each unit is restored to a high standard and ready for reuse.

Weekly Hours: 07:30 - 16:30

Salary: Up to £35,000

Role Type: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Thirsk

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive returned coolers, label them accurately, and log into the Dynamics system.
  • Test units to diagnose faults prior to starting repairs.
  • Wash and clean coolers using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Repair mechanical or electrical faults identified during testing.
  • Re-gas coolers at the charging station as part of the refurbishment cycle.
  • Perform final testing to confirm unit performance.
  • Place coolers on the ICE BANK station for up to 5 hours for operational validation.
  • Carry out final quality checks to ensure all customer specifications are met.
  • Maintain correct spare parts inventory using the KANBAN system.
  • Support with investigating warranty returns and customer complaints.

Required Skills

  • Experience in refrigeration, electrical repair, or machinery maintenance.
  • City & Guilds Refrigeration qualification or valid F-Gas certification (required).
  • Previous experience in a re-manufacturing or repair environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive mindset.
