Our client based in Stockport are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team on a Full-Time Permanent basis.

- Role Type: Office based - Potential to work from home 1 day per week.
- Hours: 40 per week - Mon - Fri
Job Role:
- Part of the UK Technical Support Team resolving issues logged on Service Now by the Service Desk
- Liaise with Customers, Suppliers, Global Incident Management, Core Teams and other departments
- Work with an objective to keeping the number of open calls as low as possible
- Ensuring appropriate communication with relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Raise change requests as directed by Technology & Digital Product Manager, Service Delivery Manager or Operations Director
- Carry out System Health Checks in accordance with Health Check schedule
- Participation in post case investigations and team meetings
- Network configuration and troubleshooting including but not limited to LANs, VLANs, VPNs, VOIP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and Wi-Fi networks
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems including but not limited to Windows 8/10, Server 2012/2016/2019/2021
- Configuration and troubleshooting of virtual environments including but not limited to VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, GCP
- Configuration and troubleshooting of ANPR cameras and credit card payment systems
- Configuration and troubleshooting of mobile devices including but not limited to Samsung tablets
- Maintain and provide technical support on Oracle and MySQL databases
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of SQL or Jira
- Knowledge of Networking
- Diploma or Degree in an I.T related field
- Understanding of Hardware, building PC's
- MS office skills (Ideally Excel)
- Experience in virtualisation (VMWare, VNC, Hyper-v etc)
- Experience using Salesforce
- Strong communication skills
