Job Description
Right Now Group are currently working with a growing Cargo Ground Handler. Our client are looking for dynamic Cargo Duty Manager to join the team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Cargo Duty Manager
- Oversee and manage Warehouse and Clerical staff, resources, and equipment to align with operational demands and budgetary targets.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Security protocols across all operations.
- Foster employee development through effective coaching and training programs.
- Plan and coordinate shifts to meet deadlines and uphold Quality standards.
- Maintain Security training certifications and enforce Security Procedures and Requirements.
- Compile operational statistics and report performance issues.
- Address rostering concerns and liaise with staff to resolve scheduling matters.
- Handle minor disciplinary matters and conduct Return to Work interviews.
- Oversee daily operations, engaging with Airlines, GSAs, Agents, and Customers.
- Ensure adherence to Security, Quality, Company, and Airline-specific protocols.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of warehouse functions and operations.
- Demonstrate expertise in ABS/NCTS processes.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Operate efficiently under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Performance Measures: Cargo Duty Manager
- Meet deadlines for all export, import, and trucking operations.
- Ensure flight files are completed accurately and in compliance with CAA and company regulations.
- Maintain consistent management of Health & Safety, Security, and Quality requirements during shifts.
- Enforce adherence to Company and Airline procedures.
- Provide training to staff for operational tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure warehouse team operations prioritize safety and minimize waiting times.
- Maintain effective communication with management about special requests, irregularities, or incidents via handover logs.
- Report damage, over-shipments, and under-shipments promptly using appropriate documentation.
- Optimize staffing levels to meet operational needs while controlling costs like overtime and sickness.
- Rigorously manage absence and sickness according to company policies.
- Brief team leaders on daily operational priorities and requirements.
- Be available to cover the Duty Manager role when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels of consumables and ensure stock is maintained.
- Conduct daily Health & Safety and Security checks, addressing equipment or facility damages as needed.
- Lead evacuation procedures during Fire or Security alerts.
- Manage high-value and secure items as a designated keyholder.
- Supervise the processing of valuable goods through the Vault.
People Development: Cargo Duty Manager
- Deliver hands-on training to team members, ensuring full compliance with Company and Customer policies and procedures.
- Identify and nurture team members for potential career advancement.
Additional Responsibilities: Cargo Duty Manager
- Perform other duties as required by senior management.
- Contribute to achieving team objectives.

Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)
Salary: £42,000 – £44,500
