Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a highly capable and hands-on Accountant to oversee the full finance function across three small but growing entities, including an exciting start-up venture. This is a pivotal role, ensuring robust financial management, accurate reporting, and compliance across all operations.
Location: South Kensington (Hybrid)
Hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: £45,000
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations for three entities, including accounts payable/receivable, payments, payroll, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and general ledger maintenance.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and present financial performance updates to the Owner.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for each entity.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Prepare for and manage audits, liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain effective banking relationships and manage cash flow across all entities.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, highlighting variances and making recommendations.
- Provide financial modelling and scenario planning to support growth, particularly for the start-up.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, policies, and processes.
- Maintain and analyse company credit card expenditure.
- Support ad hoc financial projects as directed by the Owner.
Key Skills
- Qualified by Experience (QBE) or formally qualified accountant.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Sage 50 (or similar financial software).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
