Are you a Key Account Manager or have a background in sales? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and financially secure business delivering innovative waste solutions to a portfolio of SME clients. We're looking for someone commercially minded, customer-focused, and confident managing client relationships in a competitive, fast-paced sector.
Your role will focus on retaining and growing existing accounts, promoting best-value waste management services, and identifying opportunities to upsell new solutions and technologies.
Role Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of SME customers using tailored waste management solutions.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, delivering exceptional service and building strong long-term relationships.
- Provide expert advice on waste legislation, innovations, and environmental best practices.
- Identify upselling opportunities and support sales initiatives to grow revenue within your portfolio.
- Carry out regular service reviews to ensure contracts remain commercially viable and operationally effective.
- Generate new appointments and support the wider sales team with leads and insights.
- Liaise with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Resolve contractual or service-related issues promptly, maintaining client satisfaction.
Desirable Skills:
- At least 2 years' experience in account or contract management.
- Previous experience in the waste management or environmental services industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to analyse contract profitability and service value.
- Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to multitask across clients.
