Right Now Group are recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a growing specialist logistics business based in West Drayton, operating within the Fine Art and High-Value Goods sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some exposure to Freight Forwarding, Air Cargo, Courier Logistics or Customer Service who wants to develop their career within a unique area of logistics.
You'll take ownership of customer shipments from initial enquiry and quotation through to booking and final delivery, working closely with customers, airlines, couriers and specialist delivery partners. Previous Fine Art Logistics experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. Attitude, communication skills and motivation are particularly important, and candidates at an earlier stage of their logistics career are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities of an Operations Coordinator
- Manage customer shipment requests from initial enquiry through to final delivery
- Prepare quotations and pricing for customers
- Book and coordinate shipments across Air Freight, Road Freight and Courier services
- Monitor live shipments and proactively update customers
- Liaise with airlines, couriers, specialist delivery partners and other suppliers
- Complete Export customs entries following training where required
- Ensure shipments are accompanied by the correct documentation
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide a high level of service
- Troubleshoot operational issues and find solutions to keep shipments moving
- Work closely with the wider Operations team to achieve service KPIs
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes
- Use technology and internal systems to manage shipments efficiently
Skills & Experience Required for an Operations Coordinator
- Some previous exposure to Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Air Cargo or Courier operations would be advantageous
- Candidates at an earlier stage of their career with the right motivation will also be considered
- Fine Art / Art Logistics experience beneficial but not essential
- Customer Service experience would be advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident dealing directly with customers and suppliers
- Comfortable preparing quotations and working with numbers
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Positive, proactive and willing to learn
- Comfortable working within a busy, fast-paced environment

Salary & Benefits for an Operations Coordinator
- £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
