Right Now Group are recruiting for a Fine Art Technician to join a specialist Fine Art and High-Value Logistics business based in West Drayton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a unique and specialist environment, handling, packing and moving valuable artwork, antiques, sculptures and high-end interior pieces. Previous Fine Art experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. Candidates from high-end furniture moving, specialist removals or similar careful-handling backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Junior candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities of a Fine Art Technician
- Safely handle artwork, antiques, sculptures and high-value furniture
- Pack and protect valuable and fragile items using specialist materials
- Prepare items for transportation using padding, foam, protective materials and crates
- Complete detailed condition reports before and after handling
- Load and unload specialist vehicles safely and securely
- Use handling equipment including dollies, pallet trucks and carts
- Support the movement and positioning of heavy or awkward pieces
- Assist with collections and installation of artwork where required
- Accurately record the movement and location of items using inventory systems
- Work closely with Warehouse, Operations and Customer Service teams
- Maintain exceptional standards of care throughout the handling process
Skills & Experience Required for a Fine Art Technician
- Previous experience as a Fine Art Technician, Art Handler or Fine Art Packer advantageous
- Candidates from high-end furniture moving or specialist removals will also be considered
- Junior candidates who are motivated and eager to learn are encouraged to apply
- Excellent attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach
- Comfortable handling valuable, fragile and potentially heavy items
- Experience using warehouse handling equipment beneficial
