Forklift Driver
Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join a large cargo ground handler based at Heathrow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious ground handling operation within a busy airport warehouse environment, working alongside leading airline partners to ensure cargo is handled safely, securely and efficiently.
The successful candidate must have previous Counterbalance Forklift experience and be comfortable working within a fast-paced warehouse environment across a rotating day and night shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Driver
- Load and unload vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using Counterbalance Forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment.
- Carry out manual handling duties safely and efficiently within a busy warehouse environment.
- Use hand-held devices to locate, identify and accurately process cargo.
- Process cargo paperwork in accordance with customer and operational requirements.
- Assist with breaking and building ULDs, including PAGs, PMCs and AKEs.
- Check incoming cargo for damage, discrepancies or areas of concern while maintaining high health and safety standards.
- The Successful Forklift Driver
- Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience is essential.
- Previous warehouse, cargo handling or airport warehouse experience would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Comfortable completing manual handling duties within a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work a rotating 4 On / 4 Off day and night shift pattern.
- Able to successfully complete a 5-year checkable employment/education history and DBS check.
