Right Now Group are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operative to join our client's team. Our client are a medium sized Freight Forwarder based at Heathrow.
As a Forklift Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth handling of Export & Import consignments entering the warehouse.
Job Responsibilities - Forklift Operative
- Loading and unloading cargo from vehicles using the clients forklift (Counterbalance & Reach)
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against delivery notes
- conduct thorough inspections of received goods for damages, defects or discrepancies
- prepare goods ready for export by labelling and load onto vehicles by matching against Airway Bills.
- Load and unload freight onto aircraft pallets or containers, adhering to proper weight distribution and security measures.
- Labelling courier parcels
- Building ULDs
Candidate Requirements - Forklift Operative
- The client will need to carry out a full 5 year checkable work history and apply for a criminal record check for this role.
- Forklift Experience using Counterbalance and/or Reach - candidate will ideally have a valid licence but training can be given
